Nutritional Information for Domino's
Domino's is the UK's largest pizza delivery chain with over 1,200 stores. They've made commitments to remove artificial colours and flavourings, and introduced sub-600 calorie 'Cheeky Little Pizzas'. But the ingredient lists for their dough, sauces, and processed meat toppings tell a more complex story. Here's the UPF reality behind Britain's most-ordered pizza.

The UPF picture at Domino's
Domino's pizza bases are firmly NOVA 4. The Classic Crust contains wheat flour, rapeseed oil, whey powder, and flour improvers (ascorbic acid, L-cysteine hydrochloride, emulsifier E481). The Stuffed Crust adds mozzarella, garlic, herbs, and additional starch. Even the Thin & Crispy base contains emulsifiers, preservatives (potassium sorbate, calcium propionate), and dough conditioners.
Processed meat toppings add another UPF layer: pepperoni contains pork rind, dextrose, colour (paprika extract), antioxidants, and preservatives (sodium nitrite). The sausage topping uses rusk (wheat flour), yeast extract, and spice extracts. Even the ham is 'formed from pork leg meat with added water' with stabilisers and preservatives.
Domino's BBQ sauce contains sugar, invert sugar syrup, caramel colour, smoked water, and smoke flavouring — a heavily processed condiment. Their tomato sauce is relatively cleaner but still contains sugar.
Lower-UPF ordering guide
For the lowest UPF exposure at Domino's: the Cheese & Tomato pizza on a standard base is the simplest option — the fewest processed toppings layered on the unavoidable processed base. Choose vegetable toppings (peppers, mushrooms, onions) over processed meats.
The Cheeky Little Pizzas (sub-600 kcal) are a reasonable portion control measure. Avoid Stuffed Crust (adds significantly more processed ingredients) and BBQ-based pizzas (the sauce is heavily processed). The gluten-free base, while different, still contains modified starch, glucose syrup, and multiple additives. If you want the lowest-calorie option, a medium Cheese & Tomato on Thin & Crispy base is the most restrained choice.
